I Miss Snail Mails & Some Randoms

I was spring cleaning my room few weeks back (Yes I did!!!) and I realised that I had so much crap stored in decorated boxes that are nicely kept in my room. When I say crap, I mean things I dont remember I have....and they're good craps. Dont get me wrong. heh. So anyways, among the many many stuff I stumbled upon, only these made me sit and go through it one by one.

It plastered a smile on my face. and then some brought tears. cough cough. But this when I also realised....why doesnt anyone snail mail anymore? Like send each other cards, letters, and so on. Emails are, no doubt, more convenient but there's no excitement in it!!! I used to receive CNY cards, Birthday cards and Christmas cards from friends and I found some cards from people I forgot I was friends with. See? I miss that. it made me feel closer to them. Haha.

The following are some cards I've gotten that made memories start flooding in my mind and stood out among the others.

The first one is a bornday card from Crafty Caryn :)





I used to love mashimaro so much so thats why she pasted some there. The above picture is the 5 of us who used to be a close knit clique. Now, its just the 3 of us. Anyhoo, Caryn used to love making cards for all of us during our birthdays. She made the most for her bf and I remember how I used to help her write lil rhymes in his card. LOL. good times. Maybe thats why she made cards for us, dont want us to feel left out kan? Haha. kidding. The best part is, she's good at it. I hate creative people because....I wish I was one :(

Oh, she would compile messages from other people that I knew, which explains the messy writings.

As for this one, I received it from Desiree...like long time ago.



She sent me a birthday christmas card I think and she included a picture of her and Stephanie. I dont usually receive stuff from her so this was quite the shocker. LOL. I bet you, she wont even remember that she sent this...once upon a time. I must say, Steph wins the award for sending the most cards to me...birthdays and Christmases combined.

This is funny because she included some passport/ticket thing inside for some TVXQ thing. Haha. I think this was when I was converted into a Kpop krazed teen. Good times. Hahaa.

Isnt snail mail an awesome thing? Please send me more. I like the excitement of seeing a letter addressed to me. Car insurance, credit card bills, newsletter, etc does not count. TQVM.

Oh, here are some more random things I found. One of it? My Westlife biography book given to me from my papa when I was 13 and a hugeeeeeee fan of Westlife.



If I remember correctly, there was a lot of begging and crying involved in the process of owning this book. Haha. Westlife should know the tears I shed to show my love for them. Hmmph.

Lastly,



Hahhaa. This was taken when I was 10 back in my Cheras primary school. It was the period where exams were over and all we did was play to past time. I always brought my Barbie dolls to school, hence the holding of a Barbie baju. Gosh!
