Snoozefest (For Some)

I was channel surfing this morning and got my eyes glued on today's episode of Oprah. I ended up watching the whole one hour of the show. What was today's topic of discussion? People who live up to over 100 years old and they are happy & healthy. Trust me, their physical condition looked really amazing. So how do they do it?? Yeah, I'll get there later.

There was this guest doctor and another guy who wrote a book called The Blue Zone. This writer went around looking for Blue Zone a.k.a where the old people are in their 90s up to 100 somethings and the doctor observed how these really senior citizens live their life and maintain their healthy and happy lifestyle.

They get to live up to this age because of what they eat and the sort of activities they do daily. They eat fresh food and fruits that can be found around their houses, drink healthy water and they do chores that keeps them active and in a way....exercise. The areas with long living old people are mainly in quite ulu spots lah. And the spots they went to were somewhere in Costa Rica, Japan, somewhere in USA and one more in Italy - like i said, mostly rural types of places. One of the old folks could even work out with dumbbells. Salute!!!

I am so very amazed when i saw the old folks on tv. They are mostly older than my grandparents but they look soooo much younger!! To be honest they all looked like they were in their 70s as compared to their real age which is 90 - 100 plus. My jaw was opened the whole time during the show. Truly in awe.

Then i started wondering, will I live untill 100? I doubt it. Do I wanna live until 100 without any sufferings? Well, yea....I dont mind. So...yeah. I hope to live until 100 and have good health and a good life. Amen.
