The night before the day, we all gathered at his house for a reunion. Everyone looked so relaxed except the groom!! He seemed so stressed and was busy with so many things. I thought that usually the bride would be the one more stressed than anyone but good to see that the groom taking part in some organizing.
When everyone left, my family and I stayed back to witness the hair combing ceremony. I was pretty excited because I've never seen one before in my life. The weddings I usually attend were all held in a church so there was no picking up of the bride or hair combing. Anyway, as it was about to begin, I quickly whip out my camera and was ready to snap. Before I did, the hair combing ceremony ended. Just one comb and a few words of advice, and that was it.
I had to ask my aunty to restart the combing thing so that I can catch it on camera. Oops.

Oh, look who was trying to catch a glimpse of the hair combing session!

Its Chyna, my cousin's neighbor's dog. I think her name is Chyna. Or....something that ends with a 'na'. Lets just call her Chyna okay.
On the morning of the wedding, we headed over to the house again and waited for the groom, bride and everyone else to arrive. While waiting, we, the early birds, watched Bride Wars. Ironic much? LOL. After a 30mintes of waiting, they finally arrived.

Yay to the happy couple, Yik Yen and Emily!! :)
As usual, there was the tea ceremony. Lucky our family isnt thaaat big so the tea ceremony didnt take too long. Hehe.

Yup. Its mummy and papa receiving tea, as a symbol of accepting them as a couple? I think.
Day time came and went. then, it was night time. The time where we all dolled up to look goood. Okay, I didnt doll up too much because I dont know how to apply make up!! I'm not as girly as I thought I was huh. Hehh.
The Leong girls (minus 1) was in charged of the registration. We had much difficulties because most of the names were in chinese and we bananas couldnt really read it. Instead, we had to ask the guests to point out their name.

I really apologize to the Leong ancestors for being such an OCBC (orang cina, bukan cina...chinese but not chinese). But luckily simple survival level of cantonese managed to save us, okay moe like me and the sister because Su yen and su Munn can speak canto but not read chinese I guess >.< . Phew.
Cousin Sher How a.k.a Rain brought his girlfriend and Su Yen and I have the exact same thought - she looks like cousin Su Yin!!!!!! When I first met her also, I thought that she was Su Yin with a new hairstyle but...nope, that wasnt her.

See the resemblance? We definitely do!! Hmmm.
Here's me with the two girls who loves the camera a lot. Check out the Facebook album to see what I mean. LOL. They were happily cam whoring but claim that they were stealing snapshots of me. Puhleese! Haha.

Finally, a group shot of us. Of course, most of them aren't in it because they left early!! See? our photo so incomplete...but I guess its still something :)

Oh yea, that night we had chinese vegetarian meal. I usually only eat Indian vegetarian food all thanks to Sumeet but the chinese style one is so different. It wasnt that great maybe because I was expecting more but overall, it was not bad. They had weird names for the dishes too. Check out the Facebook album okay.
Here are some random sightings for that day. Okay la, not some but more like just 2.
When Su Yin arrived the house in the afternoon, the first thing I noticed were her shoes!!

Well, what can I say? I'm just really attracted to colourful objects. If this was one of those high cut sneaker, I would totally love it more. Speaking of which, I still want a high cut sneakers!! There's always no size or its to pricey. Damnit.
I also noticed this butterfly floating around outside the house during the afternoon. The day before the wedding, i spotted a similar looking butterfly outside my own home. It was flying around outside the gate but I didnt pay much attention to it. I got more shocked to find out that this butterfly which was flying outside my cousin's house, looked so familiar to the one at home. Weird part was, it was also flyng outside the gate. It didnt bother flying in! Coincidence or is there really something behind it? :S

Here it is, the pretty lil butterfly. The best part was how it actually allowed me to snap pictures of it. As I got nearer to snap, it stood still until I took the picture. I love it!! Butterflies are the only insects I love. Just throw me into a butterfly farm for a day and I'll be happy.
Okie dokie, its time for me to leave. Must do assignment lahhh and I am soo sleeepy!!
Chao Chin Chao!!
