I had the opportunity to attend the MTV Worldstage concert last month. Honestly, not all the bands were my fave, in other words it wasn't so much of a 'die die also must go' kinda thing. But if I could get tickets, my only purpose was to watch Hoobastank do their thang!!! I've been crushing on lead singer, Doug Robb ever since I was 17 and when I finally saw him, my heart just melted.
How I got the tix is quite a funny story. I joined that Juice contest that Su Yin asked me to join. Of course, I didn't win. No surprises there. I got so pissed and annoyed until I gave up hope. Suddenly, on the morning before the concert day, Su Yin sms-ed me and asked, 'So, did you get your tickets?' I was like....what? Thinking that it was some wrong number thing, she suddenly replied, 'Oh...I pulled some strings managed to get you a pair'. Obviously, I was overjoyed!!
The sister and I arrived late for the concert. When we reached, Boys Like Girls was singing some song I forgot.Not Great Escape. Either Lovedrunk or Thunder. Oh well. This was the only shot I managed to take. My other shots were from a far distance. Andd...I liked that this BLG lead singer climbed that thing. Fawesome!!
PS: He's quite a cutie too.
After BLG, there was a super long break. During the long break people had the advantage of pissing me off. They were annoying lahh!! I think their fake-ness just totally put me off.
The best part of the long break was meeting Joey G!! He was walking around near the area we were at. Out of no where, the sister suddenly just walked up to him and asked if she could get a picture. I took a nice shot of her and Joey G but in return, she gave a me a sucky shot!!!
wtf!! I look uglyyyy and the camera a bit too near right? Damnit. No matter how ugly and fat I look over here, I still got the guts to post it here because....heck, its Joey G and I just wanna show off.
After some long and agonizing dunno how many minutes, Raygun appeared.
I have not heard of them until that night. Their songs aren't too bad. Can pass la. I totally fell in love with the lead singer's eyes!! Love the color.
After Raygun and another long break, it was Pixie Lott's turn to take the stage. She seemed really sweet and her voice is woww!!
Another thing I love about Pixie was her nails!! OMG, super colorful. It inspired me to try something out. hehehe. Her songs were really good too. More like happy tunes. Hmm, maybe I should try listening to her album and see if i should get it :)
Finally, the main purpose why I was there.

I supre enjoyed their performance maybe because their songs were the only ones I knew. Haha. Doug Robb turned on his cheekiness and made all of us sing Ghost Busters with him. I sooo loved that part. Unfortunately, no video was recorded because at that moment, some douche created some kinda commotion and was happily banging (now, no dirty thoughts here) people around him.
Oh lovess!! He is sooo hottt (and married. dot dot dot)
After Hoobastank, the long awaited All American Rejects came on stage!!! Tyson Ritter is super hilarious la. I loved that sparkly thingy he pasted all over his hace and arms. LOL
I'm not too sure what song they were singing in this shot but I liked the background stuff. It looked like stars!! Okay, maybe it doesn't look that beautiful in this picture but you had to be there to see it.
Oh, Tyson also climbed on that thing like a monkey. LOL.
We didn't stay back for Kasabian though. We were too tired and I was fed up and we managed to see the acts that we went there for so, we left. At first, we thought that we were the only ones who were leaving but it turned out, almost everyone was leaving too!! I wonder how was the crowd when Kasabian came out. Hmm.
Overall, quite a memorable night. The thing I am most disappointed about is the inconsiderate gang that was crowd surfing (and ended up injuring a girl) and the stone-looking dance moves. They looked like they were stepping on ants and they just had that stoned look you know. Weird. Another thing was these groups of kids who had pretentious accents. I dunno why but it irritates me and they were blocking my view. Thank you very much.
See? Whenever I attend a concert, I will always be surrounded by annoying people. Not once have I encountered civilized humans at concerts. Hope no one pisses me off during the BEP one :)
PS: I think I am 90% getting that canggih phone :)
