Joke Of The Day

Here's a funny story.

After lunch, Sumeet and I went to the mini mart because I wanted to buy reload. Damn wei, my credit finish so fast, and I seldom make calls. Wtf.

So.....

Cashier: *Saying it so fast like some F1 car* Mau kad ke nombor?
Me: *Looks at her blankly*
Cashier: *Spoke slower but not much difference*: Mau kad ke nombor?
Me: *Still couldnt understand but for the sake of pretending I could..*: OK.
Sumeet: Eh..she ask if you wanted card or just the number la...
Me: Ohhh...card.

Speak slower la next time!!! I know time is precious and you probably like to rap but still!!!

Anyway, I paid the money and quickly walked out. So frickkin funny la, seriously. You have to be there to feel the funny-ness. I somehow could imagine the blur look I gave when I said OK. Swt. It seems, the international students behind me kept looking. Malufying!!!

By the way, this reminds me of some times when my grandma or grandpa from Dad side will talk to me in cantonese. Being the banana that I am, I would always give a nod whenever they speak, just to be polite. Sometimes, even when they ask me a non-yes/no question, I will nod and say ok. Quite embarassing because I'm a chinese and I should know what they're saying right? Sigh. They must be very disappointed also.

This is why I rarely make conversation with my grandparents from Dad side. I find it very saddening because I do wanna talk to them and just chat but I cant!!! I dont even dare to ask how are they because my pronounciation might go all salah and I'll sound like I'm saying some bad word.

Weird. From telling my funny/embarassing encounter, suddenly come to this communication with grandparents. Haha..

Yay!!! I am 50% free, as in 3 down...3 to go!!!!!
Totally dreading Sunday's paper T.T
