My Water Moments - So Near Yet So Far

If I had to choose between outdoor activities such as trekking, climbing, firefox-ing, etc and water related activities, I would choose water related activities. HANDS ZDOWN!! I enjoy snorkeling, swimming by the deep end of the pool and someday, I wanna give scuba diving a try. It would be so awesome to swim with non-scary looking sea creatures and I wanna admire the view down under. Heehee. Now now, dont act all shocked and surprised that I actually enjoy a sport. You can lift your jaw back up or something.

So anyway, when I heard the family was planning a trip to PD last month, I got all excited. I mean...hitting the beach would mean snorkeling, banana boat rides, swimming....how not to go all gaga??

The hotel we stayed in was called Thistle.

By far, the best looking hotel I've ever stayed in. The room was big and the interior design was so modern and high class. Don't get me started on the toilets!! It was so pretty and comfy!! Uncle Bill got a great package deal on the hotel rooms, therefore the decision to stay over for a random weekend getaway.

After we checked in and had lunch, off to the waters we went!!

I look like I'm drowning because I sorta was. The pool was bloody deep and I was trying to stay afloat while posing. Hard work okay. See, if we had a camera that could be brought into the water, then different story lah. We'll get to that later.

Next, we marched over to the beach for some fun in the sun!! I think the most exciting part of this trip would be the banana boat ride. It had to be mild because Lil Ethan was on it and we were pussies. LOL. Since I didnt want to bring my camera with me for the ride and let the wave kill it, I asked my mom to help take a picture of us on the banana boat.

This is what she got.

Looking at this makes me wish that I had camera that is water proof, shock proof, temperature proof and can snap pictures near water, under water and above water. Awesome kan? Oh well.

The following are other results of the photos I've taken with my regular camera and the inability to get closer to the waves.

More sea and sky, less sand.

Trying-to-be-artistic shot of the sea and sand.

Another supposed to be artistic shot...sea view with a beach chair.

Anyway, now you see my point kan? All my pictures have to be a distant away from the water. Cant go any closer also. Now, if only I had something like the DSC-TX5 a.k.a Sony CyberShot T series.

Ch-ch-check it.

Photobucket

If I had this camera, my pictures would have been so much better in so many ways. I could at least snap pictures and show how the real water experience was. I spotted so many funny looking creatures but unable to snap pictures because duh, it was the water and I would have snapped some if my camera was water proof. Oh, here's something random. When I go swimming, I put on my contact lenses and I dont have my own goggles therefore, I cant see what's underneath the water. With the Sony TX5, I can just simply go under water with my eyes closed and snap away and I can admire the pictures once I'm out of the water!! Cool huh? Kekeke.

One more thing, I dont have to worry about dropping my camera into the water or from anywhere I'm standing. Why? Because its water proof and shock proof. Amazing.

This lil gadget is awesome in so many ways. Its water proof (you can snappity snap pictures as far as 3meters under water for about an hour!!), temperature proof (it can survive really harsh weather conditions), dust proof (your pictures will spotless regardless of the environment you are in. Think haze, etc), and shock proof (You are allowed to drop your camera at the height of 1.5meters). These features are just making me drool and want it more!!

The function of the camera develops beautiful images even in low light, creates a more natural and vibrant images, and more importantly a more realistic pictures with superb contrast. The best part is, it comes in so many different colours that suits your style.

No prizes for guessing which one I have my eye on. Duh...PINK!!!!!!

Why I Like It Longer

For the past few days I've been asking myself....what is it that I like longer? Why do I like it longer? To be honest, the only thing I could think of is my bolster but please, I so wont post a picture of it here and blog about it. So inappropriate right? Like dont know how to be shy or something. Hehehehe.

Anyway, I couldn't think of anything at all until one day, when I took a picture of someone who is dear to me. We've been together for 10 years and of course, we've had our ups and downs. But no matter what, I'll always love him for who he is.

Who is it, you ask??

Its my dachshund, Sausage Stout!!! Actually, I didnt realise how long he was until I took the second picture of him.

You know, Stout is the only dog that has been with me for the longest time. I did have this other silky terrier that I adored so so much but she ran away, or as I would like to believe - stolen!! One day when I came back from school (I was 11 at the time), she was just missing. Vanished. And till today, no one knows what happened.

Because of her disappearance, I was given the opportunity by fate to meet lil Stout. I still remember the first day he came home with us. He was so cute and small and he couldn't stop yelping in the middle of night until I went down to entertain him. Oh, I also remember taking him for a walk during his puppy days and he would just sit in the middle of the road as I continue walking. Aahh....memories.

Sorry, no pictures of mini Stout because digital cameras and camera handphones weren't such a hit back then. Wait, was it even invented yet? Hmm.

Oops...kinda went out of topic there. Anyway, Why I like it longer? Because although Stout isn't as furry and tiny as other girlie dogs like shih tzus or chihuahua, he is still as lovable and adorable as the other dogs despite him looking different compared to the others. Seriously, I've never seen any other long looking dogs.

Photobucket

He is MY lovable long love ;D

I know this is totally unrelated but whenever I look at Stout, he reminds me of the new LG Chocolate phone. Okay, try guessing what this new LG Chocolate have in common with Stout.

Photobucket

Pretty damn obvious right? They're both LONG, BLACK and SHINY. Hahhaa

The End!!

flyMAS.mobi - As Easy As Kids Making Music

The other day, I asked my Dad how air tickets were purchased those days, you know, the pre-internet crazy era. Well, he went on explaining how it was done and to be honest, I was expecting to hear something very 'ma fan' like going all the way to the airport and buying the tickets or making a call and going all the way to the airport to collect them. But...I was wrong.

Apparently, buying tickets then and now is just as convenient. Before, according to my Dad lah, all they had to do was head over to the travel agency, tell them what you want and let them settle everything. If that is easy, then I think booking tickets online is easier because all you gotta do is click click click and voila - you'll be on your way to your desired destination.

If you think those two methods are easy, wait till you hear what your mobile phone can do for you as well. It does not only make calls, send texts, allow you to cam whore, listen to music blahblahblah, it lets you book your air tickets too. Yes, technology is so advanced that when I told my parents about this, they gave me a 'Waaa...Really ah?'.

I know, booking air tickets via mobile phone is the same as using the internet on the PC/laptop but what if one day, your PC/laptop was stolen? Or it had to be sent for repair? Or you just dont have one? Then, that's where your mobile phone comes in handy, especially if you need to book air tickets like at the very moment to where ever in the world just so you can either declare your love to that someone who's all the way in Paris or go watch your favourite Korean band in concert...in Korea. It also works very well especially if you need to go somewhere due to some emergency.

Dont believe that is thaaat easy? Then, ch-ch-check this.

Uh huh. It is as easy as kids making music. If the young ones can make music by banging their hands on the piano and bongo, then using your mobile phone to book air tickets shouldn't be that difficult.

Go ahead and give it a try by typing http://flymas.mobi into your mobile phone and see how easy it is to fly with everything at the tip of your fingers.

That's all folks :)

PS: many thanks to the sister, Nalsy, for coming with the idea and concept. i implemented it :)
