Day 2 - Second Date With Macau & Ditched It For HK

We started our second day of the trip wanting to try out some typical chinese/Macau breakfast at the little cafe located few steps away from the hotel. After that, we were planning to check out this place called Senado Square. Paps found out about it on the map that was given to us.

All set to walk the town :)
Totally diggin my new (at the time) shoes. Got it from Singapore for SGD29 <3

The dim sum there is quite different compared to here. Over here, there are more colors and variety but over there its just about 4 or 5 types? And the food doesnt look very attractive. When I first looked at it, I was like 'Uhm....o.k.a.y' but after tasting it, totally surprised. For example, this particular dish...

According to Paps, this is their Loh Mai Kai but I dunno. I chose to believe it and it was nice!! not so thick and jelak. We had other stuff too like siew mai, char siew pao, porridge and pork chop sandwich. Sad thing was there wasnt any milo ice.

After breakfast, we walked some more. Before heading to Senado Square, we just checked out some more fancy hotels and other shops. The hotels there are sooo grand and gorgeous and they had the nice perfume like smell to go with it. It is only in Macau that I would actually step into any nice hotel lobby and go ooooh and aaaahhh.

This was taken in front of the famous Lisboa Hotel

And this is part of the lobby...

Very grand, very nice smell, very.....ok, there are no words.

As we were walking, I noticed this old looking flat that just attracted me for some reason.

There's something about old looking buildings or sny building for that matter, that just catches my attention. Maybe if I was good at drawing, I would be an architect. But, too bad.

When we got to Senado Square, like finally, we reaized that we were there the day before. Remember? How we were walking and walking towards where ever our instincts brought us? Well, it apparently brought us to Senado Square, therefore, we weren't that surprised. But it allowed us to look at more shopping stalls so its cool

Spotted at one of the clothes' stall. This is my most favourite picture of the lot, for some reason.

Once all the window shopping is done, headed back to the hotel, packed, checked out, went for lunch and headed to the jetty to catch the ferry/nice boat/whatever to Hong Kong!! That was when we met up with the other people who were on tour with us. You see, we arrived in Macau a day earlier than the other Malaysians so we had our free and easy time at macau. When they arrived, we joined them and went over to HK. That's it.

That's me, so excited to finally be going to HK!! Kinda my dream place to go in Asia. And also the first country I would like to go to as my first step to traveling. Hoho.

The sun was setting and it was only 5.30pm!!

Photobucket

After this, I got sick and decided to just try dozing off.

When my eyes opened, we reached our destination!!! Met the HK tour guide, who was very very entertaining and I actually paid attention to what he had to say despite not understanding him and then went for dinner.

In the bus....on our way. Kinda sad because it was dark already and I couldnt see nothing!!

Photobucket

During dinner was the first time we got to know the other tour people from Malaysia and I couldnt help but ask myself silently, 'What did we get ourselves into????'. Why? because they all had very weird characteristics!!!!! Only a few were normal people like us, no offense. During dinner, some of them were even obnoxious. One burped, one took food like they were the only ones eating, another one commented food wasnt enough and asked the HK tour guide to order some more. wtf.

Photobucket

See? even my parents lookhttp://www.blogger.com/post-create.g?blogID=11683885 like they had the same thought as me. LOL. Sometime during our HK trip, the tour guide and us shared the same feelings about the other weird people. Looks like its not me who's the fussy snobbish one. Hah!!

The hotel that was booked for us was super fancy as well. Its called L'Nina or something. Very grand and that just took away all my discomfort feeling upon meeting those people. I guess it was like a reward for tolerating them. LOL.

Photobucket

Very nice!!!! TWO double beds and I took one for myself. Hehehe. The only problem was showering. Although there's a curtain at the shower section, you could still see the shadow!! Ugh...but we had our tactics so, no problem.

Lastly, that's me...taking a stroll outside the hotel.

Photobucket

Its was cold and so nice!! By the time we reached the hotel, it was late so we couldnt shop or look at much. My parents who loves last minute shopping, as in the last minute before it closes, shopped anyway.

Once all were closed, we went back to sleep. Too tired.

Till we meet again in Day 3 :)
