So, the story begins here.
My poor car, still a virgin of car offenses (well...since I started driving it of course), was clamped today by Godma's apartment's security whatever. You see, Godma has a friend name Paul who also stays in one of the units there. Each unit owner gets a car sticker so Paul gave us his because we visit quite often and its convenient for us lah. Or else, we would need to park outside and its creepy. He also doesnt have a car anyway so, it was pretty cool for all of us.
This evening, I decided to go over to Godma's place for dinner but I forgot to paste the damn car sticker in my car. So, I did what I usually do, which is to just mention that I am visiting and would like to park at the designated space. I also mentioned that I asked the owner permission and he's fine with it. I remember doing this before and no one clamped my car so I thought it would be the same this time. Boy, was I wrong.
Anyway, as I was leaving, I saw that my poor car was clamped. Idiots. I walked to the guard house with flames of anger floating above my head and smoke flaring our of my ears and nose. I asked them what's up lah, why they clamped when I already clearly said I was visiting and Paul was aware of it. To be honest, Paul wasnt informed lah so...10% my bad. This bloody guard started being rude to me. Here's how it all went down...
Me: Excuse me?? Why my car kena clamped? I said I was parking there and visiting. I even got the visitor pass.
Guard: You pergi unit apa?
Me: *mention unit's number*
Guard: Then you pergi mana?? You tak ada di sana. I talipon tapi mat salleh tu kata you tak ada.
Me: *I lied that paul was my uncle and said*...I pergi rumah uncle dan lepas tu pergi rumah kawan lah.
Guard: Ya lah, you sudah pass time limit.
Me: Kalau ada limit, cakap lah awal awal.
Then, I stormed off and called Godma and Paul down. Wah wah wah, when they both got down, idiotic guard totally did a 180 degrees flip in his attitude. From calling Paul a mat salleh, he referred him to Encik while he talked to Godma and used a very very nice tone to Paul. You know, people here always seem nicer and sweeter when a foreigner is involved. Screw him lah!!! No one messes with an angered and pms-ing taufu okay.
Usually, I would just let it be and walk away but today, I just felt like fighting back. And he was rude to me!!!!! Have you ever heard of customer is always right??? Brains left in the freezer or what?? Fcuker.
I know that in this case, I am at fault also for not remembering the sticker and not informing Paul about me parking at his spot. But, to me, the wrong mainly lies in the guard's court because he was bloody rude. Just one attribute really makes everything seem like the other side's fault. After he unclamped my car, I just roughly gave him back the pass and I drove away without waving or thanking them. Why should I?
Godma could even apologise repeatedly to him. what??? That was so not necessary okay. he should apologize to me. Damnit.
How not to get stroke, you tell me?? Okay, done ranting.
