No Matter How Careful You Are, There's Always Someone To Eff It All Up

I was told that I shouldn't blog too much about myself so I'll try to blog about other things instead. One of my first attempt of not blogging about myself was when I wrote about Adam Lambert. Maybe it didnt work out that well because it was mainly about MY opinions so...yeah. Now, I'll try it again.

Last Sunday night, I received some breaking news about Sumeet being involved in a car accident. My only reaction to that as Stephy informed me about it was 'What??? Hahh??'. I was really worried and was also assured that she was ok because 1) she managed to call both of us but I couldnt answer at that time and 2) All she could think about was her assignment. Can you believe it?? She asked Stephy and I to help her finish and hand in her assignment. If it was me, I cant even imagine how I would react.

So last night, I met Sumeet for dinner and she told me about the whole incident. I wanna share it here because this really reminded me of how great and mighty and awesome God is. The saying 'God is good, all the time and all the time, God is good' really reflected in this.

Okay, here goes. Sumeet wasnt planning to head home to Ipoh during the long weekend last week but on Thursday, her bf called to say that there were no more buses going to Ipoh. So, the kind hearted Sumeet offered to drive up. At that time, her bf's bro's gf was also planning to go back to Ipoh so she car pool-ed with them.

On Sunday, they left for Cyberjaya at 3.30pm and since it was the last day of the long weekend, there was some massive traffic jam. Sumeet was at the slow lane and as she was exiting at the Cyberjaya exit, this car in front of her suddenly pulled the emergency brake which caused her to break as well. Thankfully, nothing happened but something bad was coming her way from the back. This huge ass trailer was speeding in the slow lane so when Sumeet braked, that idiot braked too late and hit her brand new Myvi. According to her, when the trailer hit them from behind, her car kinda spun and it landed at the road side railing thing. Dunno what is it called also.

So, the whole back part of her car was smashed and she said it looked like a two seater car. Her brother said the condition of the car looked like someone could have died in there!! Scary shit. Fortunately, all 3 passengers were safe but Sumeet's bf's bro's gf had an injury, her neck tissue or something tore so it was kinda hurting. It seems, the bf's bro's gf sorta blacked out for a moment when the accident occurred and she kept asking the same question literally every minute, in the same sentence structure. She asked 'Where were we coming from?'.

I find it so amazing how all 3 passengers survived the whole thing despite how bad the accident was. Even stuff like luggage, and Sumeet's brand new laptop survived the accident too. The only thing that ruined was the food stuff that she brought back.

Another thing is thankfully her parents were in KL!! Imagine if they were in Ipoh. Dont think they would have made in on time to the accident scene due to the heavy traffic. Oh, her Dad was a police too so things sorta settled smoothly. You see? The wonders God can do and how He works in mysterious ways.

Sumeet is doing fine actually. She's just suffering from some pain due to the impact I guess. the weird thing is the doctors at the hospital didnt even ask her and the bf to go for check up. They should right? Just in case something is injured internally. The bf's bro's gf is doing fine too and has been discharged.

Once again, this reminds me that life is short and anything can happen anywhere and anytime so do appreciate life okay. I'm just glad that Sumeet is alright.
