To Genting, We All Went

As y'all probably know (or dont), my friends and I went up to Genting a few weeks back, just for the fun of it. We were too stressed from the internship (and studies) so we decided to go have a blast. After all, we deserved it okay.

On the way up, up, up.

The bus ride up was pretty alright. I didnt feel like puking but the most worrying part was when it started having some kinda smokey smell. The more it moved, the worst it got!! The other sibuk uncles got worried and made the bus stop by the roadside. Good idea, uncles!! If it wasnt for them, dunno la what will happen.

From my seat, I could see how worried Stephy and Taynee looked. haha.

As we reached the top, the bus still had that smokey smell. In fear, we all got off the bus and didnt bother how far away the hotel was from where we got off. Thankfully, it wasnt that far la. All we had to do was cross the road.

We didnt do much there tho. Just the usual theme park outing. I must say, I am officially getting old. I used to enjoy theme park rides and would get excited to go on it, but now I have lost total interest. I used to get so scared of roller coasters and get on it eventually but this time, I had no feelings at all. Just looked at it and said..'Heck No!!'

One of the rides that I was actually excited to get on was this.

Unfortunately, it was frikkin closed!!! Of all the rides, why did this had to be closed?? Sigh, So, we moved on to other rides. There were a few other rides that were closed too, only after we were halfway through the line. Damn dumb.

As we were walking around the theme park, I stumbled upon this cute ride. I dont go to Genting often you see, so things like this just excites me. Okay, good to know that I still get excited about rides, but not too excited to want to sit on it.

Photobucket

Cute right??? The have the muthachucking scary version for adults and this for kids. Seriously, we were thissss close to getting on this because we were tooo chicken for the real high one.

Look at the boys, all smiling and laughing. Oh, and screaming!! So cutee :)

Photobucket

Boys, wait till you sit on the other one. You wont be screaming like this. You'll probably be screaming for dear life!!

I spotted this nice wall painting. I know its nothing much but I admire people with artistic talents. I always wish I had such talents but no such luck.

Photobucket

God, why cant I paint beautiful pictures or even do anything artistic? :(

Our theme park outing was mainly walking, sitting and standing around. But the others somehow managed to go on more rides. This was taken while the others ditched us and got on the ferris wheel. Damn those people. haha.

Now that I recall, I think I sat on less than 1o rides. Come, let me name them.

- Teacup ride
- Go Kart
- Elephant flying ride
- Some useless pirate ride.
- Floating boat.
- Cycling boat
- Motion master
- ......

These are the rides, outdoor and indoor combined!!

See what I mean? Old!! To confirm my old-ness, I suffered from dizziness after sitting in that teacup and motion master ride to the extent that i wanted to vomit!! I usually dont :S

Speaking of the teacup ride, I am so disappointed at how it looks now. If not mistaken, it used to have that english teacup look and feel to it. Now, its plastered with Ribena stuff on it. Fail!!

Here's us, lining up at that cycle boat ride thing, which was one of the rides I enjoyed most. The bumper boat ride line was too long so we decided to go on this and played our own bumper boat. hehe.

Our version of bumper boat??

After a long time spent at the outdoor park, we proceeded to the indoor theme park. You know what, I'll skip the nonsense stories and get to the remaining pictures..

Taken before we got on the Gondola.

L-R -> Yin Chuan, Ellie, Stephy, Taynee, Soo Fing and moi.

Somehow liked this window for no apparent reason. i guess it just gave that cosy feeling.

Lastly, a picture of us roaming around Genting hotels at 2.45 in the AM!!!

After the outdoor and indoor theme park, we got back to the hotel to freshen up and that was at around 11pm. I think we were too restless so we decided to have supper and just walk around. Oh, I entered a casino for the first time!! Nothing to scream about la but I'm proud to say I entered one and witnessed people gambling their money away, accompanied with intense looks on their faces. Amazing!!

I think the best part of this trip would be our sleeping arrangements. We joined two double beds together and the 6 of us slept on it. To be honest, I didnt have a good sleep at all. I chose the sidest part of the bed and found myself sleeping on the edge of it most of the time!! I thought that Stephy was hogging our section but it turned out that Taynee was the one!! So, Stephy had no choice but to squeeze beside me and I had no choice but to sleep on the edge.

On the other corner of the bed, something similar happened. Soo Fing, who slept at the sidest, conquered the bed and poor Yin Chuan was squeezed in between Ellie and Soo Fing. These peepos ah!!!

According to my friends, I snore and so does Soo Fing. So embarassinggg!!! That was when Stephy suggested that the next time we travel, Soo Fing and I should have a snoring competition. Is this how you treat super exhausted people?? Haha..

Overall, an awesome trip. It wasnt as boring as my blog post. This post seems boring because I am still in no mood to blog. I really dunno why la. Anyway, I so enjoyed myself with these whackos. I also enjoyed the weather because its not like we can get it here in KL, thus the reason why I wore shorts. The main purpose is to enjoy the cold, no? :)

Alrightie, I'm done!!

PS: if there are any typos, please just try to make out what I'm trying to say.
PPS: I can blog but cant seem to reply Lizamey's long email. Hahh!!
