How I Met Them & Survived 10 Years

Few nights ago, I went yum cha with a few of my former form 5 classmates. Will post about it sometime this week or the next. Anyway, Syn Vy was there too and she passed me a picture that was printed out by Caryn. I turned the picture and saw 'Happy 10th Anniversary!!!'

Woww!!!!!!! Has it already been 10 years??? Time flies by so fast that I didnt even notice how long we've been together. Haha. So, in order to celebrate 10 years of friendship, I'm gonna write this post dedicated to that.

Lew Syn Vy
I still remember clearly how I met her. We first met in 1998, when I just moved to Subang. Honestly, my first impression of her was that she looked pretty snobbish, therefore, I didnt even dare to talk to her. We started talking when our class teacher changed my seat and placed me beside her. That was when we officially became friends. We were really close that time. We would talk on the phone, go to each other's houses, cook together, call each other early in the morning (6am!!) to ask about what we must bring to school, etc, and lots more.

Of course, we drifted apart for a while in secondary school. We reunited in Form 2, tho. I remember the times when the both of us would make fun of people, like give them weird nick names. It was fun!! Damn, missing those times now. Oh, I also watched her reject so many guys who tried their luck to get her as their girlfriend. Hehe. Good times.

Caryn Lim
Caryn, caryn. I will definitely not forget the day we met. We were in Std 6. She was sitting in the other corner of the class. One day, I just randomly walked over to her place and we started talking about stuff. I found out the she liked British singers as well and she buys Smash Hits magazine!! She was the one who introduced me to Westlife. I dont remember any Moffatts thing tho. hehe. So anyway, from then on, we got really close too. We went together to watch our first ever Westlife showcase. Ryn, remember that time when I won the lucky draw crap and got the chance to meet them backstage? Well, it never happened because of some misunderstanding. I was damn disappointed okay. Sigh.

Since then, we've been inseperable. We were in the same class all the way to Form 5. Teachers in school would think that we were either sisters or lesbo partners wtf. If not mistaken, if it was not because of me, she would not be with her current boyfriend of 8 years. Hehe. I still remember those days when her bf would call me almost every day to ask how was she in school, did she flirt with guys, etc. His friends also would call to check. How nice. Being with Caryn is really fun because she makes me laugh with her blurness. She's still the same *winks*.

Fannie Lee
Okay, I know I suck because I totally cant remember how I met Fannie. I remember seeing her around in Std 6. Then, we started hanging out when we were in secondary school is it? Bah, I'm forgetful. All I remember about Fannie is how she was quite boy-ish in school. When we went shopping, she wouldnt be interested in what we were interested in. I think, for me la, I started hanging out with her more after high school ended.

Now, Fannie isnt the ungirly girl I used to know. She is more girly and so fashionable okay. Out of the 4 of us, she's the only working one and I admire her. She has become more matured than I am.

Although...
...we have been friends for 10 years, I'm pretty sure we've gone through some ups and downs without even realising it, like boy troubles and so on. I'm damn sure that there are times when I've made them hate me for some unknown reason. Sometimes, I do get the feeling that I'm being annoying to them but I just brush it off.

I just want to apologize for the times I've pissed them off in some way and I might not even know it. I'm quite convinced I've done that tho. So, SORRY GIRLS!!! But then again, what is a friendship without the shiteous shiz that occurs right? I mean, all relationships and friendships must have it's own negative-ness. If not, how could we ever get to know each other better? *winks*

I also wana thank them sooo much for being there whenever they can and most importantly, for fetching me EVERYSINGLETIME we have an outing. What to do right? No car and no guts to drive. Thanks soooo much!! Oh, and thanks to caryn and Fannie for introducing me to the clubbing world. Haha!! If it wasnt for Caryn and her never ending farewell get-together at Coco Banana, I would still be the boring-night-life girl.

So, here's to 10 years of being friends and many more years to come!! Happy friendiversary, girls.
