Before 2008 ends, let me update y'all on how I've been spending my Christmas.
First of all, let me say that this Christmas kicked last Christmas' ass okay!! I totally had a blast and I dont remember how long it's been since I last had so much fun during Christmas.
Both my uncles from Australia came back this year. Although they live in the same country, they rarely see each other. They see us more often actually. So, its like the ultimate reunion because all my mom's siblings got together.
On the 20th of Dec, we had Christmas Came Early dinner for my Dad's side of the family. We usually have it on Christmas Day itself but we were away so, bring it forward la. And it was the Tong Yuen thing also anyway so, kill two birds with 1 party.

Then, on Christmas Eve, we had dinner at my place. All the Rodrigues cousins and Uncles/Aunties and Nanna gathered together for a meal. We went for evening mass and came home with rumbling tummies. We had yummy wummy food aswell, thanks to Aunty Lai Wah for the roast pork and roast turkey. Slurrps.

On Christmas Day, we headed down to Damai Laut in Lumut for our Rodrigues Christmas Getaway!!! Its been a looong time since we went away for Christmas. At least something different this year for a change.
That was taken on Christmas night. We had buffet dinner at the hotel. Fun to have everyone sitting down at the table, having a meal, laughing and yacking away.
I had lotsa fun in Damai Laut tho. I did something I've never done before - snorkeling!! Call me jakun for all I care. At first, I was nervous. I mean, swimming with fish?? What if they bite? What if I get stung by a jelly fish? Well, thank God none of those happened.
I was afraid to look under water at first because I didnt want to see things that I dont wanna see. Like maybe an ugly looking fish or a super scary looking whatever. Cousin Rachel kept screaming whenever she felt something at her feet. when she screamed, I screamed!! I was even afraid when I see bread swimming near me for the fish to eat. I totally pushed the bread far far away from me. Yeah, terrifying at first but super fun as well.
Finally, I made myself look under water and to my amazement, what I saw was very pretty!! I saw many many zebra look-alike fish with blue and yellow colors on them. Not too sure but they were pretty indeed. I saw other fish also but they weren't very colourful. They were small and cute tho.
Natalie bruised herself pretty bad during the snorkeling. Waves and rocks just dont mix wei. She, as usual, blames me for her injury. Sigh. I got scratched too. Yay!! Proof to y'all that I did snorkel :)
After snorkeling, we went island hopping. Very. fun!! Saw many many of God's wonderful creation and that 5 kick-ass star hotel built by YTL. OMG....beautiful!!! What a waste, I didnt bring my cam along. Didnt want to risk it being accidentally kicked into the ocean. Hmm...looks like I have finally swam in an ocean!!! Super.
Speaking of swimming in the ocean, this Ethan did something funny. He got in the water and started licking his hand and said to me, 'Clair...so tasty!!'.
We also had seafood dinner with never-seen-before-relatives. I mean, I never knew they existed but it was good to meet them for once. We socialised and the best part was the food, obviously.
On the last day of the trip, we stopped by my grandpa's grave on the way home. Looking at his picture on the tomb stone made me wish that he was still around. At least I would have gotten the chance to get to know him more. It seems that he would have been an awesome grandfather.

Last Sunday - 29th Dec, we had another party, which was Shaun and Rachelle's engagement party. Another big gathering of relatives and a few of never-seen-before relatives. It was pretty fun. The people who came made is super lively. Oh, and I made the picture slideshow for Shaun and Rachelle. Damn proud of it. Haha. Bite me for being perasan!!

Its New Years eve and I have no plans for tonight. No countdowns, no dinner, and no booze & boogie. My parents are attending a wedding dinner, Sis is working late and Bro is going out with his friends so its just me.
I guess I'll be celebrating it my way. I plan to watch Sex And The City movie, rewatch Mamma Mia (while studying) and probably some random Friends episodes. Oh, gonna order me some McDonalds too. Ah....I can feel the peacefulness already. No one can come in between me, my McD and my movies. I just hope I dont fall asleep >.<
Yeap, pretty much a peaceful New Years Eve. I dont mind because being lonely is no biggie :)
Next Monday exams are beginning. Damn fast wei. After that, the next paper would be on the 10th of Jan. I got lotsa time to prepare....I hope. Cant wait for my holiday!!! When y'all start getting back to work/school, I'll be enjoying my holidays!!! *Starts dancing*

PS: Exactly a year ago, I had an exam and spent new years at Cyberjaya, with my notes >.<
