The GRADUATE

I am very pleased with the current outcome of my side project. So far, I have received around 4 review requests. Not much but its still something and a good start :)

I think my Mandarin teacher is a bit bias. She still insist my pronounciation is good and she expects higher from me. But today, when we had to practice our speaking with her, she gave me 4/5 marks for it. Since you think my pronounciation is good, shouldnt I get at least 4.5? Or just 5? Then, when some Malay girls had their turn, they terus got 5. Wtf. Has she ever thought that maybe I pronounce well because I am a quick learner? Not because I'm a chinese. Wake up, woman!! I didnt get A for Korean because I could speak it, but because I practiced and watched Korean shows and sing Korean songs. *takes deeep breath*

Okay, I'm getting off the topic already. Need time to calm self.

Anyway, this is pretty overdue but who cares. On the 9th of November, we attended our father's graduation ceremony at PWTC. It was my first time entering that building after like 21 years of living in this country. Not a bad place, I must say but the system that day was damn teruk case.

My Papa in his graduation robe. He earned a diploma in ocupational safety. Bravo!! From this course, he finally understood what we go through with ASSignments and exams.

I dont know why the organizer could not make up their mind. One minute the entrance was here. Then, it was at the other corner and the next thing I knew, we had to go upstairs to enter. One man even got pissed and started lecturing the security people. Good on him!!

This is so typical. Malaysians squeezing their way through a door. Line up, will ya. This can also be seen at the bus, LRT, KTM, and anywhere with a door. Tsk tsk

When the graduates walked in he hall, I spotted the Paps on the big screen. We were like..'Eh...thats Papa la!!'. Like as if we saw Brad Pitt in the crowd. Hmm, he's either really reading something or he was just acting cool. Hehe.

My Dad's course was the first group to collect their scroll. When the 1st person collected it, the clap from audiences was pretty good. As more people got up to collect theirs, the clap died down. Damn sad. Haha. After my dad got his cert and all, we had to watch another 10o plus (which felt like millions) other people go up the stage and take their scroll. It was a yawn fest, seriously. We all had to wake up at 6.30am that morning some more. How not to yawn??

This fler even fell asleep....before everything began. Pigg. Haha..

When it all ended, I was glaaaaad. Finally can stand up again. My butt actually felt numb man.

That night, we had dinner at some fancy restaurant in Jaya One. At the same time, there was some breast cancer event going on there so spotted some celebs. I didnt bring the cam...damn wasted. Ish. I sooo wanted to take pictures with Edwin Sumun and Ida Nerina okay. Sigh.

We sat at the top floor of the restaurant and we got to watch performances from up there. The best would have to be Ella's performance, honestly. She sang songs I actually was familiar with. Yes, I was once a malay song listener. It was a looong time ago. The whole time during the performance, I was trying hard to wave at Ella, just for fun and because I felt like doing something dumb. Everytime I waved, she didnt look. I was even tempted to shout her name but dont want la. I only will do that if it was....Big Bang. Haha.

After dinner and when Ella started singing a song we all didnt know, we left. I was disappointed because she didnt sing 'Standing In The Eyes Of The World'. I love that song. As we were leaving, Nat and I took one more last look at the performance. We stood beside the stage this time, but it was sort of almost backstage la. Suddenly, Ella somehow turned back and looked at our direction, dont know why la. So, I decided to wave. Hahaa. My dreams came true. It was damn funny la at that time.

After that, we walked away and headed to the car with my parents. Suddenly...I heard a very familiar intro of a song. It was frikking Standing In The Eyes Of The World!!!!! And we were leaving!!! Damn celaka. My Dad didnt want to turn back so we left anyways T.T

Oh well, all in all a fun night but a boring morning. Haha.
